First you might try cleaning around it real good. (brake cleaner, carb cleaner). Then caulk the edges neatly with JB weld. Should do it.

I buy a gallon container of gear oil that has a pump and hose/nozzle with it to fit in the filler hole.

I have a pellet stove in my 16 by 28 shop. Fully insulated. On days I won't be in the shop I start it in the morning and shut it off about 6 hours later. When I am working out there I leave it on...

I recently shipped an engine I rebuilt to Iowa from Massachusetts. I went to Fastenal and discussed the shipment. They even gave me a nice pallet that I modified to secure the engine.

Well, I am just guessing because I can not remember how I did it. Maybe moderate heat might soften the bonding agent.
I found old woven lining material (probably asbestos) and riveted them on...

I had this 1946 plate on our 46 (6 digit) and found a 46 (5 digit) plate which I registered. So I don't need this one anymore. If anyone in MA has a 46 (any brand car) and wants a year of manufacture...

As Bubba says...replace with the correct FLEXIBLE lead. Don't try using shrink tubing since it will restrict the plate movement. Ask me how I know

I need to replace the throttle cable assembly in my 46 but have held off because it looks like a bugger to install the horseshoe clip in the back of the dash. I can probably get it off but at 79 it...

I believe there will still be water in the other hose and will be pressurized by whatever your radiator cap pressure is. Your idea to just join the 2 hoses should work and no need for shutoffs in...

I have a 12 volt battery and a 6 volt battery on my test stand. The 12 volt powers the starter (Helps a new engine spin) and my 12 volt timing light. The 6 volt is used for the ignition. Works fine...
