Default Score!!!!!!!!!!

Don't ya just love when ya stumble across something you were told doesnt exist any more.
Such is the case with 42 Ford choke and Throttle cable replacement sets.

I was looking at one of my recently arrived catalogs, Obsolete and Classic Auto Parts in Oklahoma and saw they had these still listed.

So what's a guy to do but givem a call. Howard is the fellow that answered the phone and so I asked him if they really had them, but I asked for the 46 cause theyre grey and I redid my interior in grey tweed.

He says "we have a few let me go check". In a minute he comes back and says he doesnt have the 46 Blue/Grey but does have the 42 Butterscotch.
It's the complete set plus dash retainer clips, firewall grommets and rubber carb lever ball rubbers.

I was like a kid waitin on Santa till the FedEx guy dropped em at the back door.

I can understand your enthusiasm.
I needed two more Stromberg 81 baseplates to complete my set of carbs for my Edlebrock 4x2, I contacted a guy who makes reproductions, and as luck would have it he didn’t have any ready to sell but he had two originals he was willing to sell! How lucky can a guy get! only made from ‘37-‘39 for the 60hp engines, so they are getting very hard to come by.

I need to replace the throttle cable assembly in my 46 but have held off because it looks like a bugger to install the horseshoe clip in the back of the dash. I can probably get it off but at 79 it is difficult to get up behind the dash to put the clip on. Let me know how you did it. Thanks
John
