I had this 1946 plate on our 46 (6 digit) and found a 46 (5 digit) plate which I registered. So I don't need this one anymore. If anyone in MA has a 46 (any brand car) and wants a year of manufacture plate I will send it free. Just pm me. First pm gets it. I have a new phone and as usual I am on the bottom of the learning curve. So, no luck posting a picture of the plate but it is very good. Sorry. EDIT I figured it out but somehow a picture of the shock bolt was included John 341723[/ATTACH) Last edited by oldford2; 12-08-2017 at 10:34 AM. Reason: attach picture |

Better not need 2m I only have one on my 49 and do not have a front one. There is so much inspection bs going around that no one know what is true anymore. I do know restored plates are not allowed but no one has said anything about mine.

Last time I read the Massachusetts Year of Manufacture regulations for antique car registration it said that only a rear plate was required. They did so as there was only one plate issued in certain of the years involved in the YOM program including 1945, 1946, 1947, 1953.

This issue is going to be state specific, Kansas only uses one plate.

In New York, for vintage plates you have to have whatever was issued on the year of the car you are driving. If two plates, you need both. If one plate you only need the rear. If they issued the little corner tag that year to update to a new year, you have to have those also.
