Re: 1941 pickup 4-speed speedometer gears
Thinking about it further the gear needs to be all the way back so it keeps the roller bearing located properly in the torque tube. It might be best to bite the bullet and pull the rear back and fit...

Re: 1941 pickup 4-speed speedometer gears
The gear might drive ok if slid back to it's natural position. I looked at the cut of the helix and I think it would drive the speedo al right in forward motion. If reversing, though, the gear would...

Re: Leaking Fuel Pump
This is normal. (For me at least). I use a push electric pump to prime after sitting. I often see the stock pump leaking. I just check the screws and leave it. After a while the top gasket and...

Re: Holley 94 Carb on 34 engine
Is it on the 34 intake manifold? Does that manifold have a hole in it on the carb mounting face? That hole is for manifold heat when using a stromberg. 94s won't work with that hole there.
Just a...

Re: 2x2 on 8BA flathead
I run twin 94s on an 8ba manifold. This is on a 239 59A in my 33 coupe. I have stock jets which are 50s or 51s. I run stock power valves too.
It runs great.
I would suggest you try stock...

Re: Interior trim screws
Screws tend not to have changed over the years. If you have a pattern measure the diameter. Look up a chart to find the screw number. Measure the length. Then search for a screw that length and...

Re: 1936 Brake Drums
Do they NEED turning? When brake drums are not easily replaceable turning should only be done as a last resort. I'm not a betting man but would wonder if Ford applied a max oversize when those brakes...

Re: 3D Printed Ford Battery Case Help
Excellent work. It's an area I'm not familiar with, so it's all new to me and very interesting. Thanks for all your hard work in making it and documenting it.

Re: 1937 Ford rear axle ratio
A video I made some years ago. No difficult maths involved.

Notes:
You turn the hub exactly twice.
The other hub is locked, it does not turn.
The number of...

Re: '41 pickup accelerator rod
Just a suggestion.
Put a kink in the rod so the effective length is shorter.
Set the length (by bending) so the pedal is about 1/4" off the floor at WOT. The "give" in the rod and sprung ends will...

Re: 1932 5-window coupe door guts sequence
Hi Neal. If it is the same as my 32 2 door sedan the screw hole is for a 12-24 screw that goes into a captive nut in the bottom of the rear window channel. The top of the channel has a single screw...
