Re: battery charger

If you get back flow on a circuit hooked to solar, does it make the sun brighter?

Re: 47 ford brake shoes

Re: 1932 cabriolet 1/4 panej

The five window quarter would be closest. But you’d need to remove the big bead adjacent to the decklid, and rework the curve of the side beads where they come together at the back end. Not sure,...

Re: Dennis Carpenter mat

Re: I found a early Bill Weiand intake

I don’t know what it’s worth, but I wouldn’t sell mine. I paid $140 almost 30 years ago, at a farm auction.

Re: Dennis Carpenter mat

Should the rubber be “nourished” with anything before it’s installed? Like Armorall or something similar?

Re: I found a early Bill Weiand intake

I’ve been running a Weiand hi rise on my sedan for twenty years. It’s a fine intake. Tim is right, made in 1939.

Re: '32 '33' 34 Truck front fenders

Fenders won’t interchange, and neither will grilles. Karl has the details, but that’s the gist.

Re: Original 1932 frame and repo body

Always nice to hear both sides. As he said, deliver the body and your frame to Jocar and they will fix the issue. Easy peasy.

Re: Stromberg 97 fuel smell

Do you have a fuel pressure regulator? If not, you need one. Maybe your pump has a bit of leftover push when you turn the engine off and it’s overcoming the inlet valve?

I’m sure you’ve looked...

Re: galled left rear axle spindle. repair? replace? buy used or aftermarket?

Buy a new axle from one of the trusted sources listed above for a 39-41 Ford. Easy peasy. The hard part is properly shimming the housing on reassembly. The gaskets aren’t just gaskets. They are...

Re: galled left rear axle spindle. repair? replace? buy used or aftermarket?

We have different guys thinking different items. To the OP: is it the axle or the housing?

Re: battery drain

The starter solenoid has nothing to do with charging, only used when starting the car. Are you sure you’re talking about the right part?

Re: 33-34 Tie rod measurement

Re: how to Remove the Pinion Gear from Housing

Yep, mine looks just like that pic, except I use a heavy wall piece of square tube to span the center. On my press the banjo housing fits between the beams, so it is very simple to set up. Only...
