Ford definitely did offer wind wings for closed cars. Ford called them draft deflectors. Many other companies also offered them as an accessory at the time.

1. The wingnuts that I have seen, have been painted black. They would be very easy to duplicate using a stanchion wingnut and facing the top off. I have seen none of the parts houses stocking this...
