Johnny Horton had a couple of big hits.' History related, back in the early 60's---'The Battle of New Orleans' and 'Sink the Bismarck'
Songs like that make people remember, or think, about what was. Too bad that no one does that today, as far as I'm aware.


On a side note, thank goodness for our missile arsenal. During WWII the guys had to load onto a bomber, fly the guantlet over enemy territory, drop their bombs and hope to get home.
8th Air Force ALONE had as many KIA's as we had in all of Vietnam. Tens of thousands of guys died during that campaign. Today we launch a missile from far far away, that can do a lot more than a 500 pound bomb plus they are deadly accurate.
