Believe me, I know. I spent a few hours finding the correct studs for the Boling Bros. slip on drums only to find out they sell the correct ones when asked. LOL! I believe they've since added them to their catalog.

Hi Steve, I need to get at least one of these for the same purpose as you need them. Did you already get some made?

I only had 5 made because no one else seemed interested in them.
Let me check with my guy to see how much he wants to make one or two.
I'm not sure I can sell 4 more besides yours.
Do you have any wide five friends that might want one.
A bulk order would help.

Since this has come up again, can I confirm what you are making, Steve? You are making an adaptor plate to use wide fives on a '40-style drum? If so, I am very interested in two pairs (4 total).

well, sorta, I have made an adapter plate that goes from the wide five to a smaller diameter, similar to the pattern of the '40. Its purpose is to provide a way to mount the wide five wheel on a standard tire changer. It is NOT designed for road use.

So, just a quick question, Don't anyone use balance beads anymore ?
Are balance beads a thing of the past ? A flash in the pan ?
A big joke ? Or what say you guys ???

ok, I will go by my guy today and see how his time is for making 5 more.
Buckelew wants one and Tim wants one.
If I get three more orders, it will be worth having them made.
I don't want to have three extras laying around.

I'd be interested in one as well, depending on the final cost. Thanks.

Brought one from Speedway Motors a couple of years ago, Price and freight to NZ was great. Shipping was also very prompt.
Works real well.

I used a front brake drum, with bearings removed, balance drum first, install wheel with all lug nuts, then spin balance it, worked for me

How did you balance your drum? On a machine? By removing metal or adding? With lug nuts or without? Sounds interesting! Don

All,
My guy's shop is backed up. It will be October before he can get them made, he's a one man shop.

The cost will be $65 including lugs and standard lug nuts (not the original size lug nuts) plus shipping.
