You can send them to us.
We can rebuild them with new ARP nuts and new wrist pin bushings and even weight match them if you want? https://www.jandm-machine.com/ |

Hey J&M, how do you balance the big-ends? Where do you remove material from? Also, how do you install the pin bushings . . do you swage them in like Ford did?

Typical set of V8 rods are usually within 6 grams as long as they haven't been swapped out. Yes we have a tool prior to honing the wrist pin bushings that forces the bushing tightly against the rod prior to final honing. |

And here I thought that another valuable asset just came forward. Oh well. The guy at the local (Brainerd, MN) NAPA machine shop did mine for one hell of a lot less than that. "Shoebox", I see you live in rural Wisconsin; check and see if here is a shop near you that does tractors, etc. If a guy can do an 8N or 9N, a flathead would be a natural. |

We don't sell parts as you can get them from Speedway or Summitracing. |

Sounds like you have the correct "swaging" tool for the bushings - that is good to know. I made a fixture for my lathe to hold the cap - works great. Here are some pics: 2015-02-07 19.33.56 copy.jpg 2015-02-02 21.34.39 copy.jpg 2015-02-10 13.16.06 copy.jpg |
