For replacement rings, look at Pioneer. They have made the most rings I have seen in parts stores.
Look closely at the teeth. Most had a bevel milled into the teeth on the engagement side while the opposite side was flat. if you flip the gear over you may get grinding as the starter Bendix gear tries to mesh.
