It is my understanding that if you can catch your finger nail in the scratch it most likely not be able to be polished out.

I left a socket wrench inside of the ujoint and put it together. It did ruin the bearings after a while but nothing broke. You might check and see if it happened to you.

I believe the bump holds the bolts in place until you lay the running boards in place. I would use the old bolts if they are in good condition.

It is my understanding that you can belong to either or both National clubs with out belonging to a local club. The two different magazines are more than worth the dues even if you are not a active...

Those cupped washers look like the floor board washers and I think they are larger than the original hinge washers. I wouls use the star washers and finish your car unless you are going for fine...

I understand that some restorers used the coil spring out of a ball point pen or something similar. Larry Machack from the Cabriolet Club does have some of the parts shown.

Sounds like a great deal!!! You might think about also dropping thr engine oil pan and remove any sludge.
