Re: Five buck wide five. Some times you get lucky.

I think the wide fives are a beautiful wheel. Height of Art Deco styling, I've got mine all fixed up with 36 hubcaps and ribbed trim rings, they look sharp. Tried to post a pic, but I was again...

Re: Five buck wide five. Some times you get lucky.

Nice wheel, I searched up here for wide fives and bought everyone I found(reasonably priced) but there were few nice ones. Then a buddy of mine picked up a 38 and decided to go with standard Ford...

Re: R/H Front Shock Mount..

Pretty common up here in the winter. Shock oil is like molasses in the extreme cold. Seen them rip a chunk out of the frame as well.

Re: Filter or not to filter that is the question

If your still running a mechanical fuel pump you can install a small filter in the glass bowl,
Napa 3039? I think. Add a small spring to keep it in place. And it does not look out of place on a...

Re: What is a 34 Vickie complete unrestored worth

Same here, I don't think I could ever get the time and $$$ spent back out of one of these.
But I love doing it just the same.

Re: 1932 Ford Auction in PA Oct 10 Near Hershey

Looks like a set of homemade jack stands. Two on top of two others. 2x4 steel, looks like they are designed to set the car tires on as it is held up in the air.
Did I guess right?

Re: installing new headlight bucket wires

Same here, only I soldered them and heat shrinked the joint and the old wire. The insulation was brittle, but the wire was good. All this was inside the bucket, so it didn't show.

Re: Why do Flathead V8 Blocks Crack?

I figured it sounded more technical than the Ford assigned part number. One of these days I may get lucky and get to see a NOS V8 block!

Re: Shortened rear end for 32

When I shortened mine I took out the 15 or so inches that included the bearing. Then went with the tube type driveshaft mentioned. Got mine new from speedway, but a 34 shaft could be converted.

Re: Why do Flathead V8 Blocks Crack?
