I used a Merc o matic in my truck for many yeas, with a 3.3 rear. worked well for many years, sorry I sold it.

Running an electric fan, would solve allot of problems and be better for the engine. Nobosy uses them anymore.

It's hard to get a very high compression ratio in a stock engine. Having the volume of the cylinder and combustin chamber, doesn't do it. the only way is to bring the piston up th 2/4" from the top....

I do this mostly with water pumps, the 8RT & 8BA pumps are so much better than the early ones and easer to find.
