Re: Overheating 1930 Model A Ford Coupe
I agree with #3. These old radiators are no longer able to transfer the heat from the tubes to the fins. I have had good results re coring them, preferably with 3 rows of tubes.

Re: torque AA lug nuts
Thanks guys.
Why didn't I think of some of these things? `Look at the exposed threads, tighten toward the front of the car ?
Why engage the brain when I can get such good advice from old friends?...

AA Lug Nuts
WOW,
It's been a long time since I have been on the barn. I'm happy to be back.
What is the installation torque for AA lug nuts and which side has the CCW threads.

Re: Inside engine is Green?
The inside of front cover is orange. Looks line glyptol.
Crank counter weights look like BB crank with overhanging counter weights.

Re: Henry's Deadly Spring
I have never heard that expression before.
However, it was common knowledge in the late 1940's and into the 1950's that you could pull the shift lever up out of the detent and push it up under the...

Re: Which Headers
1. The cast iron "header" is attractive and popular. It isn't the most efficient for making more power but better than the stock manifold
2. Charlie Yapp's cast headers are attractive but the...

Re: Crank bearing plate
You would probably have better luck putting new dimples in the plate under the springs. Use a flat washer up from the bottom NOT the one one intended for the 28. Ford changed to the flat washer...

Snyders sells a nice plastic shroud that fits well and looks nice for $99.
