Motor out over Veterans day...removed the valves over thanksgiving and 2 pistons. Lifter that had adjuster back out has heavier scoring than the rest but in better shape than I expected. Haven't...

Thanks...I assume removing all the springs is first order, lifters, remove cam then last is removal of split bushings/guides is last- maybe I'll leave that to the machine shop...after reading all the...

Ah ok...It was my understanding from another post (not yours) that the PV was activated with foot near floor..I assumed it was a mechanical event as the pin was depressed.

I have a very similar setup with 40 distributor. I have rejetted to .043x2 carbs as suggested in a similar thread. Checked relative size of jets with a tip cleaner..It runs rich as well...I have also...

I found .043 in front carb and replaced with .045 to match rear...appears .043 is a better choice (your recommendation) in all 4 locations. H&H recommended these jets and you are correct I bought #65...

I've got a similar issue with my 59A with twin 97's which I rebuilt myself before discovering the coil brush was burned away and replacing coil, condensor, points etc. I installed the Offy regulator...
