35-37 back of cab bracing help needed

Does anybody have a really nice cab that has had no damage to the vertical braces that go from the window opening to the floor? I had to remove them to repair the bottoms and actually took one from another cab that was in better shape. Are these flat or is there a slight curve in them? I see at the bottom there is a little curve but one from there up is flat and the other is slightly curved. Which one is correct? Any help appreciated.

Mine look straight except at the bottom to attach to the floor. They only attach at the top and at the bottom. The back of the cab is not attached to the brace and it does not appear to conform to the the back of the cab. Art

Mine had a material between the braces and the cab. Kind of like horsehair for damping.

That was going to be my next question. There was some material between the roof ribs but nothing on these as they were both broke due to getting hit pretty hard in the back of the cab. I wonder what would be a good replacement material.

Weather stripping sold at a hardware store. Look for the grey felt style. (with or without sticky adhesive). It comes in different widths; find the size you need. Should be about 1/8 to 3/36 inches thick.

You can also use this for the seal on your floorboards.

Attached is an image from the 50-813152 Ford Engineering Drawing from 1935 showing the part you are asking about. It's straight except for a short section on the bottom. Hopefully you can figure it out as it's a bit dark and is just a small section of a very large drawing.

This support has anti-rattle material between it and the back of the cab and so does the roof support rib(s). I used Dyna-Mat to insulate my cab and slid this material into the gaps and it works just fine.
