Default 36 ford sedan roof top seal leaking

36 sedan
Roof top seal replaced channels were clean etc
Leaking at corners pretty much were the 2 seams meet inside underneath in the car
Should I put some type of silicone
Weatherstrip adhesive or something
Whats good out there
I'll remove the gasket and fill in the corners let it dry and reinstall
Thanks guys
Car needs headliner next I dont want any leaks when I wash the car

I added black silicone by raising the edges. I didn't remove the seal and add underneath.
It helped alot but it has been so long since I did this, I can't remember how much I had to add. Maybe your idea of totally removing it to add silicone is a better idea. terry

Actually I would reinstall the rubber while the silicone is still wet so it adheres to the rubber also.

Wouldn't the leak be between the top material and the body under the outer lip of the rubber retainer?

At the point of the arrow to the left on the picture.

Unless the top material was damaged further inboard.

I used this black sealant when I did my Model A top. It's water cleanup and worked great. https://www.homedepot.com/p/DAP-DYNA...8220/306283455
