36 ford sedan roof top seal leaking 2 Attachment(s)

Roof top seal replaced channels were clean etc Leaking at corners pretty much were the 2 seams meet inside underneath in the car Should I put some type of silicone Weatherstrip adhesive or something Whats good out there I'll remove the gasket and fill in the corners let it dry and reinstall Thanks guys Car needs headliner next I dont want any leaks when I wash the car |

Re: 36 ford sedan roof top seal leaking I added black silicone by raising the edges. I didn't remove the seal and add underneath.
It helped alot but it has been so long since I did this, I can't remember how much I had to add. Maybe your idea of totally removing it to add silicone is a better idea. terry |
Re: 36 ford sedan roof top seal leaking Actually I would reinstall the rubber while the silicone is still wet so it adheres to the rubber also.

Wouldn't the leak be between the top material and the body under the outer lip of the rubber retainer?
At the point of the arrow to the left on the picture. Unless the top material was damaged further inboard. |
