I'm resealing the U-Joint Clamshell in my '35 coupe: it has a '39 trans, '40 rear end, '37 rear trans mount.
Should I use a Permatex-style sealer on the two paper gaskets between the clamshell and the back of the trans? Do you apply any sealer along the horizontal edges where the upper and lower clamshell halves meet? I have one of the "Stop-Leak" urethane seals I plan on using at the rear of the clamshell. Thanks.
