First I installed a new clutch assembly From Fort Wayne clutch co
I am just about positive the clutch plate is in the right way . The only way I can get it in 1st is by making the adjustment rod so the TO bearing is pressing on the fingers so no free play at all when I try to drive it & give it gas the clutch is slipping . The starter is hanging up in the flywheel every once in awhile the Bendix looks ok & there is a new ring gear installed it does have the little bracket that bolts on to the oil pan this is on a 8ba fresh rebuild before I remove the the transmission any ideas on this the cross member looks like it was never take off since 1951 I am afraid the bolts are going to snap |
