My 1941 starts great when cold, but hard to start when warm......also stalls when warm or no power. Where do I start to correct this problem ?

Sounds like ignition. I'd start with easy stuff like condenser and coil.

Yep, condensor/coil would be one of the first suspects.

The first and easiest thing would be to bypass the resistor.

As everyone has said. Get that coil up to speed with Skip and it will provide you with a nice blue spark at the plug. Your coil could be breaking down as it heats up.

Given that the OP is a new member with two posts to his credit, perhaps we could tell him a little more identifying information about who "Skip" is. (Skip Haney)
Sorry, I don't have Skip's contact information, or I would post it. In my short time on this excellent and generally very helpful forum, I've noticed a tendency to refer people to "Skip" (coil or water pump) or "Charlie" (carb) or "Bubba" (distributor) without giving any more details for them to go on.

Same problem on my '41 with 59A/B engine. Would not start when hot, due to weak spark. It was the coil. Went to Pertronix ignition when I converted the car to 12volt. No more problems starting, except when I flood it.
