THis is the modified 8BA bell housing.

This is behind the 294 ci engine and works fine. The trans is a W55 or w56. It's the one with the aluminum case and is very heavy. much heaver than the RTS.
So ya don't have to spend a fortune to install one of these. Remember the wright bros couldn't call up Boeing.

I'm old and don't see very well. I also am computer challenged. But I thimk the persons that made tat web site, must have worked for the Government, can't find a list of adapters and prices.

Ron i think this is a great idea. For one there are going to be a ton of these trans in junk yards and t5s are already getting expensive. Maybe ahead of the curve!

MIKE DAVIDSON of flatattack racing does a nice toyota 5 speed adapter for w55 and w56 gearboxes for 59a engines not sure about 8ba www.flatattackracing.com He makes some nice stuff check out his web site

I googled the ratios on the W55 and W56 and they appear to be very similar to the .86 ratio T-5.

I know Mike, he makes a nice cylinder head.. This would have to be a home made unit to save any money or use his and a Merc or PU bell housing with the aftermarket units. I was only trying to help others make this kind of adapter. I also made one for the RTS
