yeah, it looks like some original paint on it. The body is super solid. Sub frame is near perfect. The bottom 2" or so all the way around is rusted through, but it's all pretty much flat steel. Should be a pretty easy fix. I was also wondering why a car in good shape would be stripped. Maybe a previous owner took it apart to repair it ? As for restoring vs rodding. Not sure yet. It's missing lots of stuff. I do have a Model A frame, and some '39 suspension parts. So they might be used on this. For now, I'll just work on the body, and see what parts I can come up with.

I had heard that 1926 models had wood inner frames around the windows, and 27's were steel, so I'm thinking it's a '27.
