Hi, Barners
Is it better to drill for oversized hinge pins one at time with the door still mounted to the car or is it better to take the hinge apart and do each half separately? Many thanks, Don Last edited by Don in so Cal; 10-09-2011 at 09:46 AM. Reason: btt |

I would say it is better to drill with the hinge on the car. It is what we call Line Drilling in a machine shop. Also I would check the bolts holding the hinge to the car before putting in oversized pins. I had a door dragging on my tudor, started to put the new pins in and realized that the bolts were loose.
