Through and complete, do as Paul shows and the replacement is done. Works to remove a starter with a stuck bendix, and clean out parts from under the flywheel.

How many people did actually get killed while attempting to change a starter motor on a Model A Ford?

Maybe when the wheels weren’t blocked properly and the car rolled over someone.

Step one, unhooking both cables at the battery. An exploding battery would ruin my day.
My skin, and my eyesight are unblemished. Wrestling the starter doesn’t get easier with experience either. Easy to criticize, I will be looking to see if a better version presents itself. Excellent howto do it, thanks Paul. Last edited by Brentwood Bob; 02-18-2026 at 01:39 AM. |
