Set up the new 3.54 ring and pinion in the 34.
One thing is that to get the contact patch nice it needs a .060 shim under the pinion bearing. other wise the contact is way too high, right on the top of the tooth.
so ,after. a days work, I have a nice contact patch and .008 b/lash.
tomorrow I will finish the assy of the rear axle and refit it,
BUT , I. thought I may try with a thinner shim under the pinion ,just to see.
I have all the shim and gaskets written down so I have a datum to return too.
