You guys do realize its really not possible to remove the crank gear while the crank is in the block. I'm wondering what your thinking?

I was thinking for the ones that are "stuck" on the crank. I have a really good four jaw puller that I normally use and I got caught up in the moment of having a "Ford" tool. If I took a second to think about it, I wouldn't have bought it

Maybe weld a couple nuts on there and pull it off ? Still gotta remember when driving the new one on you will be driving against the thrust face of the bearing.
