Default Re: Inside engine is Green?

Hello, Hudson engines were painted with a sealing paint from the factory, was supposed to keep oil from sticking to inside casting , at least the 1948 to 54 engines were. Also Buick’s had inside differentials were also painted inside. Does sound like some effort was put into engine rebuilding.
