The NEW Baltzer's are made in china as is Kobe brand the original HYATT type with the spiral grooves are next to impossible for us to procure&source&supply from overseas,RBC NO LONGER make these wound journal roller bearings same applies to BOWER who USED to make them in MEXICO &then china BEWARE of the Snyder's ones for the $ they can't possibly be made in the USA for the $ they&other know USA FORD parts vendors sell them for...... Which are a combination/mixture of wound journal roller &sleeve &tapered roller bearings.IF the problem's in the prop/tail shaft then it's a wound journal roller bearing or ball bearing &housing SOME Ford's used a wound journal roller bearing in a rubber housing. |

What model/year Ford is yours Rob?,
Are you talking about the CWP (crown wheel pinion) front or rear bearings?, These are TIMKEN tapered roller type that fit/sit inside a double cup,&the cones fit/sit inside this cup either end,or is it a wound journal roller bearing type?, FORD used a combination/mix of both in the pinion &differential. |

THESE ARE HYATT BEARINGS (SPIRAL WOUND TYPE). They are stamped as BOTH "Hyatt" and Bower. EDITED: BOWER added 09-27-24 These were made by Hyatt and others. Maybe someone knows which companies made them for Ford besides Hyatt. The defective Rear wheel bearings mentioned above are well known as defective and that is another story. Many of the OEM rear wheel bearings Ford supplied were spiral wound Hyatt bearings as far as I know. I have seen wheel bearings AND transmission bearings made by Hyatt.
