Default 1929 Coupe cowl post repair

The drivers door on the coupe I'm restoring was bent way forward at one time, deforming and tearing out the mounting on the cowl post.
I was able to repair the upper two hinge areas, but the lower one is pretty bad.
I would like to find a post or that part of the post to patch in. I see there are no repos offered. Is the tudor the same? Has anyone done this repair before?
