Does anyone know where I can find a couple of brass fittings to install mechanical water temp bulbs in the upper radiator hoses on a stock 1934? They seem a bit hard to find.
Thanks |

If you mean to connect an original dual-temp gauge- they are next to impossible to find.It been discussed here before.Last repo's made were in the 1980's.

What some have done including me is to fit the later 1936 water pumps which have an inbuilt fitting in their body casting so that you can fit your temp sender in there and not in the hose. Some new pumps are available which have improved modern bearings and seals and improved impellers for better cooling. Check them out from Bob Drake, C&G Ford parts, Macs and some other dealers. Regards, Kevin.

This Bob Shewman stuff ABOVE has nothing to do with bulb wells like the OP is referencing. Click the link BELOW for quite a few examples of different thermostat bulb wells that are available. DD https://www.bing.com/shop?q=temperat...75298F04F0DDB7 |

If he has the orig 33-34 dualtemp the nut at the bulb has female threads. It won't work in that port of the '35-'36 w/pump .An adapter will have to be made. |

Thanks for the feedback. More than likely I’ll have to install “36” pumps so I can install Stewart-Warner mechanical water temp gauges.

If you have or are using the original spark plug wire tubes - on the right side it might be a tight fit to install that sender.
