Default Engine Fan Repair

I have a question about the feasability of repairing the engine fan. In cleaning parts removed from the old engine I found that the fan had corrosion on the inside surface of one of the blades. After removing the rust I found that the blade itself is hollow. I thought of repairing it with JB Weld but I have some concern about balance (The damaged area is about 1 '' X 1/4 ''). Not being familiar with the Model A engine I am wondering if balance would be a significant concern.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts/help

Bob

Don't even think about it. Replace it with one of the aluminum ones available from the vendors. Reason: it could separate at any time, taking out the radiator, hood sides, you or a loved one if standing nearby IF it decides to "blow" apart. Do a search for other people's experiences and photos.
I'm sure others will chime in on your question.

Believe the above comments!!! Fans are cheap compared to radiators, hoods, your head, etc..

This is what it will look like if you keep running it. The other
piece will be in your hood or radiator.
