Does anyone have a formula for castor measurements . Les Andrews book says at 11in difference of 1in is . 09 or 5.1deg.
Mine is at 12in and a difference if 1.5 in or 0.125 I'm thinking around 7degrees?? |

Yes, the arc tangent of 1.5/12 is 7.13 degrees.

Just by a angled scaled magnetic protractor from your local lumberyard and stick it to the axle and read the °’s

7º of caster is quite a bit. They are originally set for 5º which is still quite a bit.
The car will still probably track well at speed, but, the steering wheel probably will not want to return very well on its own during a slow turn. |

Hmm. The action of caster lifts the sprung weight up as the wheels turn if I am not mistaken. I often am!!
This should give heavier steering and more self-centreing action, SAJ in NZ |

5 deg.measured per post 4 at the axle ends next to the king pins. The axle in the middle may be different due to age, etc.
