Default Re: Back window installation

On my 40 I installed them with the rear glass out/down so I could reach in and out. I put a cord [1/8"?] in the slot of the rubber that goes on the flange of the opening after coating it well with liquid soap. I then set the glass up against the outside opening then pulling the cord onto the flange I slowly pulled the cord in small circles with pressure on the outside of the glass until it was totally engaged on the flange. Slapping the glass with your palm helps to center it in the opening. I used Drake rubber and ended up with a slight "rise" in one corner of each glass. I have some new Carpenter pieces which I have been told would not do that, but have not installed them yet. Not a hard job at all.
