I remember I asked the very same question not so long ago. I also remember Mitch telling me that if I didn't use Rotella 15W40 that he would kick my arse first time he sees me.

Guess I'll have to break down and invest in a case of 15W40 Rotella, even if it does come in gallon jugs.
Can't have Mitch going around kicking @$$.

While the pan and valve cover are off, after cleaning out the valve chamber, I would run pipe cleaners down each of the 3 main bearing oil tubes, to be sure they all have clear passage for the oil. Don't jam the pipe cleaner into the crankshaft bearing surface, but just lower it until you feel it hit the crank.

it's kinda cold here in Jersey so winter its 10=30 summer its 20-40 or what ever is cheapest
