On 4-10-1934 most of the early parts were obsoleted...


That's when they switched over to the rectangular float with baffle and spring.


The lower casting had changes implemented with the float change.

Not to be obtuse or argumentative by any means
Thanks to Renner's for weighing in on this! I have collected details regarding the B-carbs for a number of years. There is much regarding the evolution of the castings and parts but very little pertaining to the actual timeline of changes. Add to this the various mixture of parts assembled by owners over the years and we have a recipe for confusion. I have looked but not yet found a bulletin from Ford detailing the introduction of the rectangular float, which is here reported to have taken place during the late Model B production. An interesting subject to me, at least.
