I think people just see the post and don't notice the date, then reply. I remember doing it once on a post that was very old, and felt stupid for doing it after I noticed the date. Then it started a chain reaction of replies again.

I don't mind seeing that happen.
It brings up something that I probably have missed so I usually find it interesting. Also, there may have been new ideas or something that has been "discovered" to work in the interim. |

It appears this whole posting was lost in my computer. Thanks everyone for their input. I found a complete original setup & it is installed & working.
The cylinder leaked so I installed a rebuild kit & it still leaks a bit. What fluid are people using in these units now?

Original system ? They used trans fluid when these were new. Type A was the original, but Type F may work, but Dexron III is the fluid closest to Type A. POWER STEERING FLUID is not recommended for these units as this tends to cause leaks..
