OK, Try this. Disconnect the high voltage wire from the top of the distributor. Remove the distributor cap, body (horn) and rotor. Have the end of the high voltage wire (still connected to the coil)...

The Model A Town Car was designed in 1928 and released in late 1928, early 1929. This was before the stock market crash. It was intended as a second limo to be used by the lady of the house to go to...

Multi-disk flywheel

Here is a picture of a Multi-disk flywheel from a RHD car. I took it apart because the clutch was stuck. I believe that the problem was due to ware on the splines. Is this flywheel now a boat anchor?

Re: The third style model a headlight bar.

A-13113 was likely for use with a winterfront which restricts the airflow. This would be useful in cold weather.

If anyone knows of one or has a picture PLEASE let me know.

A "Tudor" car, in the context of classic Ford vehicles, refers to a two-door sedan model

Note that the official name for the Victoria is Victoria Coupe.

Multi disk clutch still stuck

Well, I tried several things. I put jack stands under the rear to get the rear tire off the ground. I started the engine with the transmission in neutral. Then I warmed up the engine. Once the engine...

Thanks for the suggestions. The clutch was removed a couple of years ago and cleaned. I will try some suggestions and report back.

I am working on a 1928 RIGHT HAND DRIVE Phaeton. The vehicle was last operated late last year.

The problem is that the clutch will not disengage. There is normal spring resistance on...

Re: Alternators

Have you checked the battery voltage with the engine off? It is strange that the alternator is putting out 15 amps at 6.88 volts. You should not see that much current at that voltage unless there is...

White wall tires were available when the Model A was new, however they had whitewalls on both sides of the tires. When Model As left the factory they all had black wall tires.

Re: Timing gear marks don't line up.

Top Dead Center is not when the marks line up. It is when the mark on the camshaft gear lines up with the timing pin (hole). There would have to be a 180 degree difference between those two points,...

Re: Electronic Circuit Breaker

Please note that when the circuit breaker trips it does not see the full 6V or 12V. Most of the voltage drop is across the rest of the circuit. In the example below the breaker trips when when it...

Re: Rear brake adjustment

Did you arch the shoes to the drum? If the new lining is thicker or thinner than the old lining it is possible that the shoe will contact the drum in only one spot. If you adjust the shoes to contact...

Re: Electronic Circuit Breaker

Here is some information:
If you calculate the resistance needed for 30 amps for a 6 and a 12 volt system you get 0.4 ohms for a 12V and 0.2 for 6V. So a dead short across a circuit breaker would...

Re: Title for car where engines are swapped

One of the reasons for all the VIN checking is to get money for the DMV. They do not want a $100K hot rod registered as a $10K Model A. They also do not want people re-registering stolen vehicles.

Re: Title for car where engines are swapped

Please note that if you file or grind off the original engine number some DMVs will notice that and you may have problems. Some DMVs will require that you show them the number on the frame. If it...
