I read in Jim Schild's "Restore's Model A Shop Manual"
proper torque for mains is 50 and rods is 35

I've been told
mains should be 80 and rods 50

My most enjoyable times driving my model A on the big hi ways are the mornings of Jan. 1st and on Super Bowl Sunday during the game. Always have the road all to myself.

long warm up

It's been taking a long time to warm my engine up and we live in a mild climate. Have to continually use the choke for the first 2-3 minutes to keep it going and then after 4-5 minutes it runs fine....
