Default Another Model A noob

Hello all!

I just became a Model A owner recently after the passing of my father.

The car is a 29 Murray Town Sedan. Supposedly been in the same family until my father bought it. It was sold new In Devils Lake, North Dakota. Spent some time in Bakersfield, California and Ashland, Oregon before returning to Wales, North Dakota where dad found it. The selling dealer dropped the A from the vin and the title/registration papers have reflected that error ever since.

He also had a 31 Slant Windshield Murray Town Sedan with a dozen options, a 28 sport coupe and a 30 roadster he purchased just a month prior to his passing.

The 31 went to my older brother. The 28 and 30 will be up for auction the end of September. If anyone has interest in the auction cars I'd be happy to discuss them via PM.

Anyway, I'm new to A's but not to Fords. Been doing Mustangs for years and currently own a 2011 GT and a 69 Mach 1.

I will likely ask some noob type Model A questions.

Some pics

The Model A won't pin you into the seat like the Mustangs, but you'll find you get just as many thumbs up.

Sorry to hear about your father.
Why not keep the roadster as well?

Thanks to everyone for their condolences.

To be honest, I would rather have kept the roadster. It seemed he had more time, money and energy invested in the town cars and sport coupe.

Since I have a full stable of mustangs already it's kinda hard to justify having drug home two of them. He discussed the 29 sedan with me on many occasions and desired that I have the car. The roadster was just purchased 30 days prior to his death so I figured while it's a highly desirable car, it was not necessarily the car was was most intimate with.

My brother tossed around taking the roadster but decided to take the 31 slant for the same reasons. I think the 31 slant is the best one of the bunch personally.

Thanks for the invite. I'll probably take you up on that. Any links? My brother lives in ElMirage, California. He probably won't join up.
