Smile Bob Drakes new catalog

Along with parts ordered the new catalog arrived. WOW, it is sensational. About 3/4 inch thick and done to a very high quality. They must have spent a fortune making it up. It is absolutely the best I have ever seen. I give credit where it is due.

I guess you guys who are bragging up Bob's new catalog didn't get taken in with his aborted binder catalog project a few years ago.Probably the money we paid for that catalog helped finance the latest "free" one. Don't bother mentioning the $50.00 coupon the investors all recieved, none of the parts I could have used it on at the time were available in a reasonable time frame and couldn't help couple other local guys with it. He can keep all of his new catalogs far as I am concerned.

I just placed and received a $81.00 order and there was no catalog included......I just e-mailed Drake to request that they send me one as I believe I should have gotten one....

Anyone else send a recent order and didn't get the catalog?

Taken in??? Well let's see, you got the $20 "binder" catalog free if you made a $100 or more purchase at that time, then more recently a $50 coupon was offered to those who purchased the "binder" many years ago. What other old Ford parts mail-order company has done anything close?
This post started out about BD's very nice new catalog, not about a catalog that came out over 10 years ago. Amazing how some can pass judgment on an item they haven't seen!

You can view or download Bob Drake's current catalog here; http://www.bobdrake.com/CAT26/CAT26.html
While they're reprinting more hard copies, you can use this online Adobe pdf version. Further; when they have the catalogs available, Bob Drake's shipping dept. does not automatically send a free catalog with every parts order. You need to request one and they'll gladly include it in your parts shipment. For catalog orders without ordering parts, they only charge $5 for postage/handling. The eta for the next batch of Bob's catalogs is around mid Oct. They do not "backorder" catalogs unless they are ordered separately without ordering parts.

Question Re: Bob Drakes new catalog

When I made my $52 order they asked me if I wanted the new catalog. Sure if it is free. I do resent Drake for charging $2 for GUARANTEED SHIPMENT. Shouldn't that be the normal situation without charge?
