Help, shaft broke at entrance to gear housing. I really need a new/used shaft. Or any alternatives that would work. Please reply, thank you

That's where they all break. Pot metal... you'll need to find a replacement.

Yep that's what I am looking for. Nobody makes that part of the vent assembly mechanism. Hoping someone has one laying around that they would love to sell. How about you? Or has anyone had one printed or machined? Is the gear pressed on the square stock or part of a complete pot metal casting?

My friend bought this 1941 Super Deluxe Sedan Coupe. When he was getting ready to load it on the trailer, he broke the vent window handle shaft so that might be a weak point. I had a NOS assembly I gave him with the understanding if he ever sells the car I get 1st shot. He's younger than me so it'll probably go the other way.... |
