classic: Rude Awakening!!

i have some time in a '37 just like that one! one evening. did a deal for a guy and got use of the car for a day. had an engine conversion... and the meanest sounding cam one might ever expect to... or not expect to... hear! ran good, and we took it from one town to another up there in PNW! down the 99, I-5 not even thot of yet! turned heads everywhere we went! gasoline was cheap then...

so '37 Fords still remain a fav of mine... i liked the first Ford to have a conventional style lifting hood! but of course, the '36 3-window still ranks KING in my mind, as to adventures, etc. someday, if i haven't mentioned it yet?? ...I'll have to tell the story of the night I put the car into a slide... T intersection... brakes locked!! and put 'er up at a 45*-angle on 2 wheels! boy, that was an exciting moment or two...

so glad it all worked out and I did not roll it! would have made for a very bad evening with a very bad ending!

but... sometimes 'ya jist get lucky! and that night i was very lucky!!

5 second rule. Pull it out of the water, let it dry out, change all the fluids, happy motoring.
