I have been bumping around trying to fugure out how to install a Holley sniper 2300 on my 1940 ford flathead. Looks like the sniper will manage the correct amount of fuel for this displacement. Problem seems to be finding a manifold and or adapter that will mate the Holley 2300 flange to the mainfold somewhere in the middle. Has anyone solved this fit problem in a sensible way? Has anyone done this already? seems like an interesting idea Thanks in advance Tom Sargent

There were a couple of users on this forum who were into fuel injection, "ken henry" and "kilohertz". Do a "search" on their names and you should find a lot of stuff. As I remember, they had some good results.
As for an intake manifold for the application you're talking about, I'd start with a late model Mercury 4 bolt manifold. I'm sure there are adapters available and they can be bored out quite a bit. |

Pretty sure Holley offers a system to fit the 2G Rochester base, and that's same as the flathead Merc intake uses. No adapter needed for that.

This manifold and a piece of 1/2 inch aluminum plate to make the adapter. Take the high rise portion off and mount your adapter there. Won’t be hard to make an adapter out of a chunk of flat

I'd be willing to bet that any system they make would match a large base 2G; the Merc's are the same as the small base 2G. I did find a couple of sources for 2300 to small base 2G adapters. (Large base to small base 2G adapters are problematic as the bolt patterns are quite close.)

I stand corrected. Small base 2G stuff is usually hard to find.

I have found a company in CA called autotrend that makes a throttle body that looks like a stromberg. http://www.autotrendefi.com/products.html In the midst of instillation. Obtained a used aluminum manifold with single carb tower from Millworks . Have installed an intank fuel pump in my poly Tanks fuel tank. That went well. Stay tuned for a full report later after we get it running

An EFI flathead, I'd like to see this when you are done. It might be kind of wild for the fordbarn but I'm really curious about your results.

I was in North Carolina this past week and checked out Craigslist.
Someone is selling a a complete and new Flatattack TPI set-up for a reasonable price I thought. Here is the link: https://greenville.craigslist.org/pt...813253164.html |

Did the 2G's ever come in three bolt bases?

Not that I have ever heard. Even if they did, it wouldn't do a lot of good, because a Ford 3 bolt intake can't be bored out enough to match the 2G throttle bore size without sleeving and a lot of extra effort. That's why they made Mercury 4 bolt manifolds.
