Default 1932 Ford headlamp single bulb socket wiring.

My car has cowl lamps and single hole headlamp reflectors and some really crappy wiring. So looking for new sockets only ones I see are the two bulb parking light sockets/wiring. Is this all that is available in reproduction ? If so you just disconnect the extra socket and wire that your headlamp does not need or is there a supplier for what I need? .Thank You

Reproduction '32 headlamp internal wires with one or two bulb sockets have a poor reputations. I go to some lengths to save the originals. Usually the insulation on the wires has deteriorated from heat to the point of falling apart. They can be saved by dipping the bare wires in liquid insulation (also used to create soft handles on tools such as pliers) available at hardware stores.

Okay David thank you, what I will need to know and do but will have to look for some better original parts to work with. Really a pretty good original car but someone in its past really tried to replace wiring with cheap modern fittings and lots of electrical tape. The reason I started checking headlamps and will focus on them is light switch lever only works to the left and up not to the right . Everything worked at first until headlamps and fuse blew.Looked at fuse block no fuse in it ,bypassed because someone wanted to use a spade type but at least it was 20 amp. Had another blew it.Ordered a new complete lighting harness from Rhode Island, also other wiring but they don't have sockets for '32. When I ordered yesterday gal said I was second Model B to order that day but other one was no fuse block early and no cowl lamps.

Those originals are tough to find. The repros are terrible as the socket is not round and the bulb rattles or is not secured snugly.Repair what you have as David points out.
