Default Rumble seat panels

I am ready to upholster the rumble seat area and wonder what do the side rumble panels fasten to?Do they screw directly to the steel support braces or is there a wood piece for them to fasten to?If so what size is it? Thanks

Look at the Doug Cox post dated 06-25-2010 10:06 AM. Enlarge the left picture and you can see the sheetmetal tab spotwelded to the inside of the rain gutter. Youcan see a hole for a sheetmetal screw to fasten the top of the panel. Do not fasten the panel to the rain gutter. the panel goes below the gutter.

Ted,
I originally posted the question last year. Doug and some others also posted on my
question. Now under the " search this forum " it WON'T come up,...odd.
I wonder if I'm doing something wrong?
