Question:
Can you tell me if 1956 Mercury Montclair Convertible Inner Fenders will exchange to a 1956 Ford Fairlane Convertible & use the 1956 Ford Fairlane Convertible fenders? Thank you for your time. Oldgas ( Ron) |

So, what you are wanting to do is put a front FORD clip on a MERC?
You also have to take into account the core support, hood and fender alignment with the cowl panel and door edge.

I wouldn't be surprised if the inners are the same. When I was a teenager I rear ended a car with my '53 Merc. There were not any Merc front clips available (this was 1963) but there was a '54 Ford front clip in the local yard. It bolted right up. I'll admit it looked a little funny but the car drove just fine and got me to school and work.
