Default old40ford pickupdream

i have a 40 ford pickup with a 425 olds engine, a 400 trans, and the olds rearend in it at this time. i want to put in a mustang frontend(ifs), change the trans to a 200r4,, and put in the 79 linc vers rearend with disc breaks. i think the rearend geard anr around 2.8 to one. it will be running 245-75-16 tires. my question is will this run, and drive both in the city, and on the highway with good mileage?
any advice on what would be a better idea? would like as good a fuel mileage as possible, and top speed. do not need to burn the tires of of it at the stop lights that is not what i want. if i wanted the i would but in say 5.56 to ont gears.

Shouldn't be a prob. A friend is doing up a 54 Chev, and using a complete drivetrain out of a Firebird. Came with a 350, 700R4, and 2:79 disc brake rear, all original to the car.
