I have a 1930 deluxe coupe and trying to find out what kind of padding was used under the wool square carpet. I did find out that it was black in color, but what material was it made of? Is there a upholstery shop that sells it or makes up the carpet complete?

While not exact, most Model-A upholstery kit manufacturers can cut & bind you a Coupe carpet. |

One thing is the cowl lights were standard on them. They had a nicer interior .designated as 45-B DLX and I think only made in 30 and 31.

Thank you for the responses. I am looking to purchase and the seller called it a deluxe and I wanted to know what to look for. Sorry I high jacked the post.

Differences between a Standard 45B and a Deluxe 45B are the Deluxe has:
Paint colors not available on the Standard Coupe; Cowl Lights & single bulb headlights; Interior upholstery materials such as Mohair, Bedford Cord & Broadcloth; Dome light; Wood grain finish on dash rail & window moldings; Carpet floor covering; Brown rumble seat upholstery.

Well, since the thread has already gone off the rails...
The Sport Coupe has more features in common with the Standard Coupe than the DeLuxe - always found it curious that a coupe called "Sport" wasn't fancier. |
