F.M. Horn Rebuild Kit Question
I have a Model FM Labs horn that most likely needs a new diaphragm. It works but only plays a long ahoo with no ga Not sure if the on line repair parts are the same for all horn models.
I see this kit on Mikes http://www.mikes-afordable.com/product/A13804RK.html or Snyders for this part https://www.snydersantiqueauto.com/h...m-battery-type |

Re: F.M. Horn Rebuild Kit Question
You mean EA Labs model FM. Mike's kit will rebuild most of it but you may need the ratchet too. If the adjustment and lube doesn't work, open it up and see if you can determine the problem. Says "Ah" when the motor spins up, "OO" while it runs, "Gah" when it spins down. Sounds like it just needs a little oil on the felts.

Also Make sure you have the paper gaskets on both sides of diaphragm, makes a huge difference in how it operates

the faster the armature turns the better the sound. some of the replcement diaphrams are junk, the centter contact is poor quality and wears off fast. keep the felts lube. ron |
